Top 20 Most Dangerous Intersections in Michigan

Nearly 30% of all Michigan car crashes and a staggering 26% of fatalities are stemming from just 20 intersections.

This is the latest data available from 2015, on the top 20 most dangerous Michigan intersections.  “Most dangerous” is defined as those intersections with the most car accidents.

  2. They just redid the intersection at maple and orchard lake and added a second turn lane turning from orchard lake left onto maple. Should be interesting to see if accidents go down

  3. It's unfair to label these as the most dangerous simply because they reported the most accidents. I see at least 3 familiar intersections listed, and I know they are roundabouts. (Probably more are roundabouts as well.) Accidents occurring in roundabouts happen at lower speeds, resulting in fewer fatalities and less damage to the vehicles. So, even though they may have a higher number of accidents (because, let's face it, most people are idiots the first few times through a roundabout), these accidents are actually less dangerous than at a traditional intersection with a lower number of accidents (but which may have been more severe).
